01 – HOUSE MOUY

The House with Three Roofs

Suite Lodge – One bedroom

House Mouy stands out for its rare triple-roof structure and elegant horizontal wooden cladding, reflecting the remarkable craftsmanship of its builder.

Built in 1957 in the village of Ta Prom, in Siem Reap province, the house was crafted by a skilled carpenter who devoted exceptional care to every detail. When his son needed to move closer to distant rice fields, he chose to sell the house to ensure its preservation.

Now carefully restored at Sala Lodges, House Mouy retains its original wooden details and distinctive character, offering a calm and intimate atmosphere.

02 & 03 – HOUSE PI & BEI

The Two-Bedroom House

Suite Lodge – Two connecting bedrooms

With its four-sided roof, House Pi & Bei is the largest house at Sala Lodges. It features two independent yet connecting bedrooms, each with its own entrance, bathroom and terrace.

Built in 1962 in the village of Thnont — meaning “sugar palm” in Khmer — in Kompong Thom province, the house once belonged to Colonel Ly Chheang and served as a military base for the Stong district army.

Spacious and welcoming, Pi & Bei now offers a perfect balance of privacy and shared space, making it particularly well suited to families or friends travelling together.

05 – HOUSE BRAM

The Elevated House

Suite Lodge – One bedroom

House Bram is one of the tallest houses at Sala Lodges. Its elevated structure and generous terrace create a wonderful sense of space, with open views across the “village”.

Built in 1985 in the village of Srü, in Kompong Thom province, the house once belonged to Neth Hour and Sos Soeun, a farming family who cultivated rubber trees and cassava.

Bright and open, the house charms with its generous proportions and spacious terrace, a natural extension of the interior living space.

Suite Lodge – One bedroom

Built in 1958, House Bram Mouy is one of the oldest houses at Sala Lodges. It reflects the simplicity and charm of traditional Cambodian rural architecture.

Originally from the village of Or, in Siem Reap province, the house once belonged to Mao Heng, a fish merchant who sold it to build a more modern home.

Intimate and surrounded by tall trees, the house offers a peaceful atmosphere and a welcoming terrace opening onto the greenery.

04 – HOUSE BOUN
SALA SPA & WELLNESS

House Boun holds a special place in the history of Sala Lodges: it was the very first house acquired for the project. Standing nearly nine metres high, it is one of the most impressive houses on the property.

Built in 1983 in the village of Opo, in Preah Vihear province, the house once belonged to Keano Houn and Channy Lay, a farming family who cultivated rubber trees and cassava. It was carefully dismantled and transported to Sala Lodges in 2011.

Today, House Boun is home to Sala Spa & Wellness, where its generous proportions and traditional architecture provide a peaceful setting dedicated to massage, treatments and well-being.
