8 – House Bram Bei

The House with Horizontal cladding

Suite Lodge – One bedroom

House Bram Bei stands out for its horizontal wooden cladding, a rare architectural feature found on only two houses at Sala Lodges.

Built in 1965 in the village of Yeang, in Siem Reap province, the house once belonged to Srèn Sea and Hong Chhun, local traders specialising in prahok, Cambodia’s traditional fermented fish paste.

Warm and light-filled, the house charms with its horizontal lines, natural materials and terrace opening onto the surrounding greenery.
