10 – House Dop
The House with the Sloping Balustrade
Suite Lodge – One bedroom
Long and low, House Dop stands out for its generous L-shaped terrace of more than 27 m² and its gently sloping, decorative balustrade — a charming architectural detail.
Originally from the district of Pouk, around 20 kilometres from Siem Reap, the house once belonged to Lorne Luch and Sophy Som, a local merchant couple. It was carefully dismantled and rebuilt at Sala Lodges in 2011.
At the heart of the Sala Lodges “village”, the bedroom opens generously onto the terrace, creating a natural connection between indoor and outdoor living.
