2 & 3 – Pi & Bei / The family houses
Suite Lodge – Two bedrooms
Description:
Originally built in 1962, this remarkable family house comes from Thnont village — named after the sugar palm trees that shape the surrounding landscape — in Kampong Thom province, approximately 75 kilometres from Siem Reap.
Formerly owned by Colonel Ly Chheang, the house once served as a military base for the Stong district. As the needs of the soldiers grew and the space became too limited, the decision was made to sell the house in 2011, allowing it to be preserved and given a new life rather than altered or lost.
With its distinctive four-sided roof, Pi & Bei is the largest house at Sala Lodges, thoughtfully adapted for families or small groups seeking space, privacy, and shared moments.
The house is composed of two independent yet connected bedrooms, each with its own private entrance, terrace, and bathroom equipped with a rain shower. The generous terraces can be enjoyed separately or combined into a single outdoor living space, creating a fluid and convivial setting.
Pi & Bei is an invitation to experience Cambodian living at its most authentic — shared, spacious, and deeply rooted in tradition.
