1 – Mouy / The house of many roofs

Suite Lodge – One bedroom

Description:

House Mouy is instantly recognisable by its rare triple roof structure and refined horizontal wooden cladding — a distinctive feature seldom seen in traditional Khmer houses. Located along the main pathway, it is one of the first houses to welcome guests upon arrival at Sala Lodges.

Originally built in 1957 in the village of Ta Prom, about 60 kilometres from Siem Reap, the house was crafted by a master carpenter who invested exceptional care and skill into its design. When the original family relocated to tend distant rice fields, the house was sold to ensure its preservation.

Inside, the spacious bedroom offers a calm and intimate atmosphere, combining original wooden architecture with soft fabrics, handcrafted details, and discreet modern comfort. A generous bathroom with a walk-in rain shower completes this serene retreat.
